Cheikhou Kouyate’s injury status is updated by Senegal’s coach ahead of the World Cup match against England.
Cheikhou Kouyaté, a Nottingham Forest midfielder, “could be out” of Senegal’s World Cup last 16 match against England on Sunday evening.
The 32-year-old was stretchered off during Senegal’s first group game against the Netherlands on November 21 and has yet to play for his country since.
They are now prepared to play England in the round of 16 but may be without Kouyaté, who has not trained this week. It is unknown whether he will be allowed to play for Forest when domestic football resumes later this month
Nottingham Forest are on the lookout for a goal machine after agent comments.
Artem Dovbyk’s agent, Alexey Lundovsky, has stated that the centre-forward “would like to play in England” after confirming the country’s interest in his client.
Following a summer of intense interest in the player, the Ukraine international has scored 16 goals in all competitions this season. Dovbyk, 25, has been linked with moves to Burnley and Brentford, as well as the Reds, who Lundovsky claims are in talks with Dnipro-1 over the midfielder.
Bologna and Torino also appeared to be interested in investing in Italy. Lundovsky has mentioned England and Italy as potential destinations for Dovbyk.

Nottingham Forest are said to be one of several clubs in Europe interested in Moroccan international Walid Cheddira.
The centre-forward was an unused substitute in each of the Atlas Lions’ three games as they finished first in Group F, ahead of Belgium and Croatia, to set up a round of 16 match against Spain. He did, however, make his debut for the national team by appearing twice as a second-half replacement in two pre-tournament friendlies against South American sides Chile and Paraguay.
