The 49ers’ choice to push for full ownership of the Whites and their stadium has made it easier to plan the stadium’s development because it has allowed them to be the club’s major decision-makers without having to consult with other part owners.
Following relegation to the Championship, 49ers Enterprises achieved a full takeover of the Yorkshire club by purchasing Andrea Radrizzani’s controlling stake in Leeds. They have won over supporters throughout the early stages of the ownership.
Under the ownership of the 49ers, Leeds United really does seem to be making progress in all areas, both on and off the field. The plans to start construction on the Elland Road Stadium development as soon as possible are also promising.
It has been rumored for years that the Whites will want to revamp their home field, but the talks have never progressed. At last, it appears that there may be some development in Yorkshire.
The new owners should be commended for investing the level of resources they did during the transfer window this summer, which allowed Daniel Farke to put together a team that appears capable of competing for Championship promotion this year.
The organization over Farke’s head does seem to be better under the 49ers than it ever was under Radrizzani, and Leeds United is more than capable of becoming a regular Premier League team if they can only get their house in order.
