Luke Musgrave of the Packers: “Would Be Awesome” to Play Again Against the Bears

  1.  Luke Musgrave of the Packers: “Would Be Awesome” to Play Again Against the Bears

His response was, “I’m definitely really excited for it. I’ve always liked planes.” I’ve been attempting to maximize my time away, but I’m eager to get back into the football game.

Luke Musgrave’s kidney injury would let him to play against the Bears on Sunday, according to coach Matt LaFleur. Musgrave stated the following on Thursday.

GREEN BAY, Wisconsin: Is it “realistic” that tight end Luke Musgrave of the Green Bay Packers will play against the Chicago Bears on Sunday after suffering a kidney injury last month?

Coach Matt LaFleur responded, “We’ll see,” which was an expectedly bland response considering the gravity of the injury. He paused before continuing, saying, “I’d say it’s realistic, yes.”

Musgrave concurred. Even though he didn’t explicitly state that he was prepared to play, his voice seemed upbeat.

Despite his limited involvement in Thursday’s practice, he declared, “I feel good.” “I feel better than I did yesterday, so I think we’re going in the right direction, but we’re still taking things day by day.”

On November 19, just as he was beginning to show his potential as a major contributor, Musgrave suffered a lacerated kidney against the Chargers. The previous six games he has missed. His second practice week after being cleared to return from injured reserve is this week.

Being on the field against the Bears would be amazing, he declared. “I want to start playing right away. We’ll see. We will approach things day by day and see what transpires.

Musgrave hurt his ankle against Las Vegas in Week 5. Though Musgrave played and caught four receptions in Denver the next week, LaFleur didn’t think he would be eligible

To put it plainly, kidneys are not the same as ankles. Although Musgrave was able to play through his ankle pain and tightness, toughness alone cannot lessen the risk of reinjuring the kidney.

Yes, that’s the awful aspect about it, but that’s just how the game is. The hardest part, for sure,” he remarked. I believe that compared to a few weeks ago, we are getting closer to my playing. Thus, everything is well.

Musgrave continued to play against the Chargers despite the injury. He didn’t go to the hospital for testing until he arrived home, when the discomfort got worse and he noticed blood in his pee. His laceration was assessed by doctors as a four on a five-point rating system.

Musgrave claimed that even simple actions like twisting his torso took “a while.” Because of the ailment, there was a lot of inactivity. Musgrave has thus had to prove to both himself and the rest of the football world that he is capable of playing in a game that must be won while also getting back into football fitness.

After recording catches of 25 yards against the Rams and 36 yards against the Steelers prior to the injury, can he continue where he left off?

“I’m not sure. Let’s see,” he remarked.

Records are irrelevant, though. Whether or if Musgrave plays this week against the Bears will ultimately depend on player safety. Musgrave’s assurance that he can, for instance, raise his arms into the air and make a catch fearlessly will also play a role.

He said, “I’m not sure if you can think about it too much. “It has improved, and I believe it will be safe to go back out there. Try your hardest not to worry about it.

After the injuries, Musgrave enrolled in online aviation school courses while confined to his house.

His response was, “I’m definitely really excited for it. I’ve always liked planes.” I’ve been attempting to maximize my time away, but I’m eager to get back into the football game.
