Rams defensive back Quentin Lake stated that he thought linebacker Ernest Jones led the defense in a recent interview with LAFB Network at Super Bowl LVII Radio Row.
“In terms of team morale, he was invaluable to us this year. Not just his performance… but also his assertive leadership. This year, his enthusiasm for the team has been invaluable to us, according to Lake. “I believe that Jones is overlooked, particularly by the Rams, because other players have had success. At just 24 years old, the standout linebacker will only grow better with time and more experience. If he accomplishes that, he can aim to be on an All-Pro team or the Pro Bowl the next season.
One of the Rams’ defensive players that overachieved this season was Jones, and he plans to continue that trend next year as he helps the team make the playoffs once more.
Few predicted that the Los Angeles Rams would even be able to contend for a postseason berth, much less win one. After a 10-win regular season, their hopes of winning the Super Bowl were dashed when they lost to the Detroit Lions in the Wild Card Round.
The Rams did not achieve their ultimate objective, but neither did thirty other teams. Do their moral triumphs merit a celebration?

Without recognizing the importance of the Rams’ core group of young players, it would be impossible to explain their recent rise to prominence.
Naturally, Nacua led the way by smashing rookie records in receiving yards (1,486) and catches (105). He wasn’t alone, though. Kyren Williams, a running back in his second year, took the scene by storm. Williams turned become McVay’s new favorite after rushing for 35 carries and 139 yards as a rookie. He finished the season with over 1,350 yards from scrimmage and 15 touchdowns.Conversely, defensive tackle Kobie Turner and rookie edge rusher Byron Young helped Los Angeles’ front become much more fearsome by supporting Donald. Though they were susceptible to the big play, the Rams managed to keep up and provided sufficient support for Stafford’s offense.
The success of Los Angeles contributed to the staff’s high demand inside the league, but McVay’s staff-building skills might be unmatched. The key to making it back to the top of the list the next year might be how his newly hired crew responds to the obstacles of the forthcoming campaign.
