In the final of Q Tour UK/Europe Event 7 at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds, Peter Lines defeated Umut Dikme 5-1.

Q Tour UK/Europe Ranking List Lines denies Dikme a second title of the campaign after his triumph in Germany back in October, becoming the sixth different winner of an event in the Q Tour UK/Europe series this season.
Three World Snooker Tour cards will be up for grabs in the Q Tour Global Play-Off in Bosnia and Herzegovina in March, thanks to the qualification of both finalists and sixteen other players from the ranking list.
As the highest-ranked player in the series, Michael Holt was assured of a two-year tour card going into the seventh event, having won three of the six previous events. Nevertheless, there was still more to play for for those traveling to West Yorkshire, since players placed between second and nineteenth were assured a spot in the Global Play-Off.Seventeen players representing twenty-one countries competed in the seventh and final event of the Q Tour UK/Europe series. The field was whittled down to 64 on the first Friday, and then to eight when the competition came to an end on Sunday.
Lines and Dikme both started their tournaments on Saturday at the final 64 stage as seeded players.
Following an outstanding victory over English Amateur champion Paul Deaville (3-1) and Austrian National champion Florian Nuessle (3-1) in his opening round, Lines overcame Oliver Sykes 3-2.
Lines advanced to the final four on Sunday morning after defeating Ukrainian prospect Iulian Boiko 4-1. There, he faced Harvey Chandler.
In the best-of-seven frame match, Chandler jumped out to a 3-1 lead, but the 54-year-old battled back to force a decision. Lines displayed all of his skill to keep himself together, clear up from green to black, and get it to the final in a dramatic frame that lasted more than an hour. Conversely, Germany’s Dikme advanced to the final day of the draw with victories over Aaron Busuttil (3-0), Kreishh Gurbaxani (3-0), and Kayden Brierley (3-2).
The German advanced to the championship match by defeating two Welshmen. He first overcame a two-point deficit to upset Tyler Rees in a nail-biting last frame. He then defeated veteran professional Duane Jones 4-1 in a more comfortable fashion. In the early going of the final, Lines took the blue in a closely contested opening set before doubling his lead with a break of 95.
Dikme responded with his own half-century, but Lines was two up again, having taken the frame before the mid-session break to lead 3-1.
After the players came back from the break, Lines continued to dominate and easily won the match at the Northern Snooker Center with breaks of 61 and 55. Now, focus is on the Q Tour Global Play-Off, which is scheduled for March 13–15. Study up on the WPBSA Q Tour.
