On Wednesday afternoon, Mack Brown and the North Carolina Tar Heels were hard at work setting up the recruiting board for next classes. The program made two in-state prospects available in the 2026 and 2027 classes on Wednesday.
The first athlete to receive an offer that day was Gordon Sellars, a 2026 potential at wide receiver. Currently a student at Providence Day School in Charlotte, the 6-foot-2, 180-pound Sellars has received offers from Appalachian State, Charlotte, East Carolina, and Virginia Tech. On Wednesday afternoon, he formally added UNC to that list and announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he had accepted the offer
Galloway was also offered by Marshall and Appalachian State that same day, adding to his total.
It’s still very early in the recruiting cycle for these classes but it’s good to see the Tar Heels get involved with these in-state prospects.
According to Salman Khan of BNN Breaking, the campaign is for UNC to land players in the NCAA Transfer Portal.

UNC has multiple players coming in from the Transfer Portal next season, an effort to improve in a tough ACC.
The college football landscape continues to change and this is one sign that points to what it can become. It starts off at $5 million but in a few years, UNC could be looking for $10-plus million to land players in the portal.
