Could the Philadelphia Eagles being the long-awaited trade partner with the Miami Dolphins for cornerback Jalen Ramsey.
The Philadelphia Eagles already made a big change to their secondary by trading safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson and drafting his possible replacement in Andrew Mukuba in the second round.
Philly also saw the departure of starting cornerback Darius Slay in free agency that leaves an opening on the boundaries opposite of young Quinyon Mitchell.

The finances for this return would be the biggest risk of all, as a trade partner would have to cover his $24.3 million salary in 2025. Miami signed Ramsey to a $72 million contract extension just before last season. A trade decision from Philadelphia would come down how much draft capital they would be willing to send to Miami if they are fine with paying Ramsey’s hefty contract. At this stage of the offseason, Miami has found difficulty in teams checking both of those boxes as a trade suitor. The Dolphins front office may have to consider swallowing some of that contract payment in order to get something done for Ramsey. If it worked out, Ramsey’s veteran leadership, track record, and continued solid play (when healthy) could be a scary set of combinations when put on this Philadelphia roster.
