City’s revamped team won its fifth straight game on Friday night.
Liam Rosenior, the head coach of Hull City, expressed his satisfaction with the club’s efforts throughout the summer transfer window. With ten new players, including Jaden Philogene, Ruben Vinagre, Aaron Connolly, and Scott Twine, Rosenior has received strong support from owner Acun Ilicali. Rosenior claims the task now is for them to reach their full potential.
On Friday night against Coventry City, three of his summer signings combined to score the equalizing goal. Jaden Philogene passed to Tyler Morton, who found Aaron Connolly, who expertly headed in the equalizer three minutes from time in front of the MKM Stadium’s largest crowd of the season thus far.
Although Rosenior and his recruitment team have been busy building the team in his image, the City head coach has been eager to move players out, which has resulted in several high-profile departures from the team.

Both Benjamin Tetteh and Oscar Estupinan have moved away on permanent and loan deals respectively, while Ryan Longman, Xavier Simons, Ryan Woods and Brandon Fleming have all made temporary moves away.
Given the backing during the summer, expectations both on the terraces and in the boardroom have grown significantly, and now, Rosenior says it’s up to him, his staff and his players to deliver.
“I’m really happy. No disrespect to the players that have left the club – some really good players have left – this now feels, and I said in pre-season, like my squad, it feels like a squad that, I feel, represents me in the way that I want to play, in the way we want to work,” the Tigers boss told Hull Live.
“It’s a very young squad, it’s a very hard-working squad, but it’s full of technical players. So now, it’s down to us, down to me, the staff, and the players to go and fulfil our potential, and if we do that, we could be in for a good season.”
