Due to a disagreement with Erik ten Hag, Jadon Sancho was absent from the Manchester United team that fell short against Brighton on Saturday, but he still demonstrated his dedication to the cause.
Before Manchester United’s embarrassing loss to Brighton, Jadon Sancho was seen observing the Under-18s in action.
The ex-Borussia Dortmund winger and the manager, Erik ten Hag, had a public argument. Sancho was left off the team against Arsenal before the break on the manager’s accusation that he wasn’t living up to expectations.
The winger for the Red Devils responded to those allegations with a post on social media. With conversations taking place between Sancho and Ten Hag, things were supposed to be better, but the player apparently refused to apologize. He was once again left out of the lineup against Brighton and is currently being forced to practice separately from the first team at Old Trafford.
Sancho, however, continued to be utterly committed to United’s progress. He was seen on Saturday at Carrington watching the Red Devils’ youth team play Nottingham Forest.
As Jack Kingdon and Victor Musa both scored to win a 2-1 victory, Sancho slouched over the advertising hoardings. The senior team, which was humiliated by Brighton at Old Trafford, did not fare as well.
Danny Welbeck, a former United player, gave the Seagulls the lead in the first half. Rasmus Hojlund then had an equalizer controversially disallowed. Pascal Gross and Joao Pedro continued to score goals, seemingly sealing Brighton’s triumph. Late in the game, Hannibal Mejbri gave the Red Devils a glimmer of hope, but it was not enough to mount a comeback.

To get the Red Devils back on track, Ten Hag now faces a challenging assignment. On Wednesday, they play Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena to begin their Champions League season.
Sancho, now 23 years old, had a difficult time playing against the current German powerhouses while he was with their arch rivals Dortmund. He played against Bayern seven times in his career, winning just twice and scoring just once.
Ten Hag, the manager of the Red Devils, must now decide whether to accept Sancho back into the team. The former Ajax manager declined to comment on his potential return when asked about it prior to the match with Brighton.
