CBS Chicago – For residents who meet the requirements, Cook County is providing a discount on pet spaying or neutering.
For the entire month of February, the $40 discount is offered.
It’s a component of the Department of Animal and Rabies Control’s annual program. Their goal is to reduce unwelcome litters and manage the county’s animal population.
To get the discount, pet owners can get in touch with participating veterinarians. Although there is no requirement for coupons or vouchers, participants are advised to make sure the discount is honored before making an appointment.
A dog or a cat may be the only two pets per home that qualify for the discount.
Go to the Cook County website for more details on the program.
